Please read the full Instructions for Authors before starting a submission. That page contains the journal’s requirements on manuscript types, ethics, reporting guidelines, references, authorship, data availability, and editorial policies.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission is original and is not under consideration by another journal, unless explicitly disclosed to the editor.
  • The manuscript has been prepared in an accepted editable format, preferably as a Word file (.docx).
  • The text follows the structure and requirements appropriate to the selected article type.
  • Ethics approval, informed consent, and permission for clinical images have been provided where applicable.
  • Funding sources, conflicts of interest, and author contributions have been disclosed.
  • A Data Availability Statement has been included whenever relevant.
  • References follow Vancouver style, with DOI provided whenever available.

JDHAB collects and processes personal data solely to support legitimate journal operations, including manuscript submission, peer review, editorial communication, publication, indexing, archiving, and compliance with applicable legal and ethical requirements.

  • Purpose: to manage the editorial workflow, reviewer invitations, publication processes, and long-term archiving.
  • Data minimization: only personal data necessary for journal operations and scholarly communication are collected.
  • Confidentiality: submitted manuscripts, peer-review materials, and editorial communications are handled with appropriate confidentiality.
  • Security: reasonable technical and organizational measures are adopted to protect personal data and editorial records.
  • Third-party services: limited data sharing may occur with essential service providers, such as hosting, email, indexing, and archiving services, when necessary for journal operations.
  • Data subject rights: users may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal data where applicable and in accordance with relevant legal frameworks.
