Scientific and Professional Trajectory

Professional Profile

Diego Silva combines clinical dental practice with technical editorial activity, contributing to both direct patient care and the structured communication of scientific knowledge. His profile is distinguished by an interdisciplinary pathway that connects healthcare, organization, and service quality.

A defining feature of his trajectory is the combination of two academic foundations. His initial formation in Accounting Sciences at UNESPAR provided an analytical understanding of management, organization, audit logic, and quality control. This background contributes to a practical vision of clinic administration, operational efficiency, biosafety routines, and excellence in patient service.

His later decision to graduate in Dentistry at Centro Universitário Ingá (UNINGÁ) consolidated a professional purpose centered on direct work for human well-being. In clinical practice, this path is expressed through a careful, evidence-based approach that values conservative therapeutic decisions, technical precision, and patient-centered outcomes.

Within JDHAB, Diego Silva contributes as Production and Technical Editor, connecting the editorial process to the same principles that guide responsible clinical care: organization, traceability, methodological rigor, and commitment to validated knowledge.

Career Differential

Historical Transition and Management Vision

Diego Silva’s first academic formation in Accounting Sciences is not a disconnected stage of his trajectory, but rather a meaningful differential. It strengthens his analytical perspective on processes, documentation, resource organization, and quality standards—elements that are highly relevant in both clinical environments and editorial production.

This background supports an informed understanding of professional management, especially in areas such as clinic organization, workflow efficiency, patient service, and biosafety. In practical terms, it helps shape a professional profile attentive not only to treatment execution, but also to the structure that sustains safe, ethical, and reliable care.

Clinical and Editorial Integration

Evidence-Based Dentistry and Editorial Contribution

His training in Dentistry transformed this analytical base into a direct healthcare vocation. In the clinic, Diego Silva applies modern approaches supported by scientific evidence, seeking to align decision-making, treatment planning, and patient communication with current knowledge.

That same logic extends to his work with JDHAB. By participating in the editorial and technical structure of the journal, he helps maintain an environment in which validated information, methodological clarity, and well-organized publication processes support the translation of science into practice.

Eficiência da abordagem conservadora com splint maxilar modificado no tratamento da má oclusão de Classe II

Clinical case report describing conservative treatment of Angle Class II division 1 malocclusion with a modified maxillary splint in a 13-year-old patient presenting maxillary protrusion and anterior open bite.

After six months of treatment, the report documented improvement in the maxillomandibular relationship, control of anterior maxillary displacement, distalization and intrusion of the upper molars, and slight maxillary expansion.
