Rights Granted to the Public

The copyright holder makes the published work available to the public under CC BY 4.0. The license is not an assignment of copyright to JDHAB.

CC BY 4.0 License

Unless otherwise indicated for a specific item, JDHAB scholarly articles and their supplementary materials are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license.

Share · Adapt · Translate · Reproduce · Commercial Reuse

Sharing and Redistribution

Users may copy and redistribute the licensed material in any medium or format without requesting additional permission from the authors or the journal.

Adaptation and Translation

Users may remix, transform, translate, and build upon the licensed material, provided that attribution is supplied and modifications are identified.

Commercial Reuse

CC BY 4.0 permits commercial as well as non-commercial reuse. A commercial purpose does not remove the obligation to provide attribution or comply with other applicable rights.

Computational Use

Indexing, text and data mining, machine processing, and other computational uses are permitted under the license, subject to applicable law and any clearly identified third-party rights.

Conditions for Reuse

Appropriate Attribution

Reuse must give appropriate credit to the author or other copyright holder, identify JDHAB as the original publication source, and include a link to the license. Citation of the article title, journal, year, and DOI is strongly recommended.

Indication of Changes

Any translation, adaptation, abbreviation, correction, or other modification must be clearly indicated. Earlier notices of modification must be retained when applicable.

No Implied Endorsement

Attribution must not suggest that the authors, editors, journal, or publisher endorse the user, the reuse, or any resulting product or interpretation.

No Additional Restrictions

Users may not apply legal terms or technological measures that prevent others from exercising rights granted by the CC BY 4.0 license.

Repository Deposit and Scholarly Sharing

Immediate Sharing of the Version of Record

Authors and readers may deposit, archive, and share the final published Version of Record immediately upon publication in institutional or subject repositories, personal or institutional websites, academic networks, teaching environments, and other lawful platforms.

The deposited copy should preserve the article’s bibliographic information, DOI or permanent link, copyright notice, and CC BY 4.0 license statement.

No Embargo

JDHAB does not impose an embargo on repository deposit or lawful sharing of the published Version of Record.

Third-Party Material and Other Rights

Material Not Covered by the Article License

Figures, photographs, tables, instruments, excerpts, or other third-party material may be subject to different terms when this is stated in a credit line, legend, or rights notice. Permission may be required for reuse beyond the applicable terms or legal exceptions.

Privacy, Consent, and Personal Data

CC BY 4.0 grants copyright permissions only. It does not override privacy, confidentiality, informed-consent conditions, data-protection requirements, personality rights, or restrictions applicable to identifiable clinical information or images.

Other Legal Rights

The license may not cover patents, trademarks, moral rights, publicity rights, or other rights held by third parties. Users remain responsible for determining whether additional permission is required for their intended use.
