Manuscript Templates
The official JDHAB manuscript templates provide the required scientific structure for preparing submissions according to the journal’s editorial, technical, ethical, and production standards.
Authors must prepare submissions using the official Journal of Digital Health and Advanced Biomaterials — JDHAB template corresponding to the selected article type.
The templates support technical screening, editorial evaluation, double-anonymized peer review, metadata consistency, reporting completeness, and production standardization.
All templates are publicly available as editable Microsoft Word documents and may be downloaded without registration or login.
Manuscript templates do not replace the journal’s required author forms, declarations, reporting checklists, permissions, or consent documentation. Editorials follow a separate internal workflow and do not use the public templates below.

Template Use
Select the Correct Article Type
Use the template corresponding exactly to the manuscript category selected during submission. The scientific structure, abstract format, headings, reporting requirements, and internal guidance differ among article types.
Use the Template from the Beginning
Prepare the manuscript directly in the selected template. Retrofitting a completed manuscript may introduce formatting inconsistencies, missing declarations, or incomplete metadata.
Preserve the Required Structure
Retain all required sections and scientific headings. Sections identified as optional may be removed only when they are not applicable to the study design.
Remove Instructional Text
Before submission, remove all embedded instructions, explanatory notes, examples, brackets, unused placeholders, and template fields that do not form part of the final manuscript.
Prepare Identified and Blinded Files
Complete the identified manuscript with the title page, author information, and applicable declarations. Derive the blinded manuscript from the same official template and remove names, affiliations, ORCID iDs, acknowledgments, contribution details, institutional identifiers, and document metadata that could reveal authorship.
Preserve Scientific Content
The blinded file must retain the complete scientific structure, abstract, main text, references, tables, figures, captions, and non-identifying declarations required for editorial assessment and peer review.
Before Using a Template
Confirm Scope
Verify that the manuscript fits JDHAB’s scope in digital health, advanced biomaterials, biomedical technologies, imaging, artificial intelligence, clinical measurement, validation, or translational scientific workflows.
Select Article Type
Choose the correct manuscript category and confirm the applicable limits for word count, abstract, figures, tables, supplementary material, and references.
Prepare Forms and Declarations
Complete the Author Declaration and License to Publish and the Cover Letter. Prepare ethics, consent, permissions, competing interests, funding, data, code, author-contribution, registration, and artificial intelligence disclosures when applicable.
Check Reporting and References
Follow the applicable reporting guideline and prepare its checklist or flow diagram when required. Verify Vancouver references, NLM journal abbreviations, sentence-case article titles, and DOI inclusion whenever available.
Submission Requirements
Editable Manuscript Files
Submit the identified manuscript and the double-anonymized manuscript as separate editable Microsoft Word files prepared from the same official template. Tables must remain editable and the scientific content must be consistent between both versions.
Supporting Files and Documents
Upload separate publication-quality figures, supplementary material, author forms, the cover letter, reporting checklists, flow diagrams, permissions, consent confirmation, registration information, and data or code documentation when applicable.
Submissions that do not use the correct official template, contain identifying information in the blinded file, omit required documents, or fail to follow the applicable scientific, ethical, reporting, and technical requirements may be returned for correction before editorial assessment or peer review.

Submission Readiness
Before submission, confirm that the manuscript uses the official template corresponding to the selected article type, follows all applicable limits, includes the required declarations and supporting documents, contains a properly anonymized review file, and complies with the journal’s reference, formatting, ethics, and reporting standards.
